1. Monetization

You don’t need to start with a big following. There is more than one way to earn money through your podcast. However, it is also important that you’re transparent with your audience. Be honest about the products or services you’re promoting, including things you loved and didn’t like. This will help you maintain your audience’s trust, which is very important in the long term.

A rundown of ways to start earning from your podcast,

  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Commissions
  • Sponsorships
  • Offer your Own Products and Services

2. Editing

Editing sounds like an easy one-step thing, right? Well, it can honestly take a lot of time. For example, 1 minute of audio can take 3 to 5 minutes of editing. So, it’s important to set aside time to do your edits! Descript is my lifesaver!

3. Equipment

Everyone will tell you to get a certain type of mic or even set-up. But just like you have your own style, you should find what works best for you. Not everyone will or and have the same set-up, so don’t pressure yourself to get a certain piece of equipment just because that’s what everybody around you is using.

4. Consistency

The key to growth is really consistency! Being there with your constant efforts, however small, will get you far – especially with your podcast.

5.  Plan

Plan, plan, plan! Have an action plan from branding to how often you’ll post your podcasts. It’s important, to be honest with how much you can commit;  then, you can develop consistency.

6. Batching

Batching helps you make content efficiently. I highly suggest you try it out.

7. Automation

Automation is something you should consider because it’s the little things that we can collectively save time on to focus on more important things. Don’t worry; I have my resources you can use on the FREEBIE down below.

8. Learning

You’re constantly learning, including the value that not many people like putting up reviews even though they can tell you how amazing you are in your DMs. It’s important to know that it’s completely normal, and those personal messages can highlight how close your audience is to you!

9. Just Get Started

The most important thing I wish someone told me was to just go do it! Just get started on your podcast, and you’ll find your path.
