Studies Show Your Core Strength Can Affect Your Success

Can Your Core Strength Affect Your Success?

Quick question…Are you slouching right now? Well, let’s be honest, sitting at a desk for long periods of time – It’s hard not to slouch.

However, if you knew your core strength could affect your success, would it encourage you to start being a bit more aware of your posture?

Strengthening Your Core and Improving Your Posture Can:

  • Increase self-confidence
  • Improve mood
  • Help you look slimmer
  • Reduce headaches
  • Breathe better
  • Function better

All of these factors can affect your success in life and business.

Your core is the backbone of your body; it contains muscles you might not be aware exist.; it drives all sorts of tasks that you may not even realize we rely on it, from standing up or sitting down for hours at work to turning around or even putting on your shoes.

Your abdominal muscles are responsible not only for keeping everything inside working correctly but also for making sure blood can flow efficiently throughout our bodies. Have you ever had an instance where you’re laughing so hard with your friends and you just … slightly pee?

It might be TMI – but did you know it’s actually dependent on your muscles? In Episode 70 of the Total Fit Boss Chick Podcast, we’re joined by Erica Ziel, who is a core specialist and founder of Athletica, which is a core rehab program with Knocked-Up Fitness. She is also the host of the Core Connections Podcast.

Now, I know you’re curious about the topic, especially since it’s so TMI. In this episode, we’re going to explore a holistic approach to healing. We’re going to learn more about movement, wellness, intuition, and breath. Most importantly, the relationship with your core, success, and how to stop peeing when you giggle!

Core Strength and Our Pelvic Floor

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend – this saying is also applicable to our pelvic floor.

Our pelvic floor looks like a diamond. To give you a better visual, your spine is one point of the diamond. Across it is your pelvic bone. Your muscles end up making a diamond shape.

You might not be tapping into the optimal function of your pelvic floor. However, one of the best ways to understand the relationship between your pelvic bone and your posture and having a strong core is a zipper. The zipper starts from your pelvic floor, up to the lower belly, and stops at the top of your head.

Everything in your body is connected; hence everything you do affects it all.
