We’ll discuss setting the right goals, the power of stepping outside of your comfort zone in the face of potential obstacles, and the five steps to double revenue in less time. In our journey, there will be times that we question if we made the right choices or even picked the right goals. We need to climb the right mountain to do that to assess what we want. Some questions we can ask ourselves are, “what do we want to create?”, “would you be able to achieve it twice as much in half the time?”. Additionally, some questions to realign our goals are to consider what we want outside of our careers. These can be our relationship goals relating to our partners, friends, family, and network. Taking this path to realign our goals can lead us to leave out comfort zone. Not everyone can afford to leave their comfort zones. However, consider if it’s because we care about what people think of our success that we become fearful to pursue what we want to. Sometimes we’re paralyzed, and we forget we can write the title to our most epic life. A great exercise is to find the edge, the thin line that separates our comfort zone from becoming fearless. Build slowly when you’re building your business because your business will crumble if you build too fast. But because if you build slowly, you have more time to create the money you need. Find a bookkeeper or an accountant who practices profit first and make sure your business starts paying you as soon as you start paying it instead of waiting for the magic day that your business has enough profit for you to want to take a paycheck. The biggest thing is not letting the fact that you have only a hundred dollars keep you from doing something. Anything is better than stagnant. What is Emotional Intelligence? Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, use and manage your emotions in positive ways. It’s not getting pissed off when things don’t go well; it’s being real with yourself about what you’re feeling without blaming others or making excuses for why bad situations happened–it could just happen sometimes! A person with high emotional intelligence (EQ) can communicate better; they will reduce their anxiety/stress levels when communicating, making conflict resolution easier! On top of that, they’re good listeners who are not judgemental or blaming others for challenges they face during life (which always come with some type of negative emotion attached). Emotions are always there, but having a high EQ will help us overcome life challenges by interacting better while still remaining emotionally balanced, ultimately improving relationships if practiced often enough over time.

From my conversations with other entrepreneurs, the main reason they have moved away or want to do something more than a 9 to 5 job is freedom. It is the freedom to do what we’re truly passionate about, what we’re good at, the financial freedom, and most importantly, the freedom with our time. Now, when you’re starting to establish your business, it may seem like you’re working way more than a 9 to 5 job. This goes for all the entrepreneurs out there. We need to understand that there is always something to do, improve, follow up, or plan. Is that freedom, though? To truly have freedom is to know when to STOP. Take a break, stop doing what you’re doing and slow down. We get sucked into a hustle culture that is not beneficial for us in the long run. We end up being burnt out and sick. Slow down and stop. Hardships, trauma, and toxic productivity —It’s a cycle that can be hard to break. You’re not feeling well, your job is stressing you out, you’ve suffered a loss or abuse, and the list goes on, with everyday tasks becoming more difficult as time progresses. These are just some factors that cause us to get little sleep and become unable to do even the mundane things in our day-to-day lives. If you notice, it honestly is a vicious cycle that takes away enjoyment from our life. Another could be our comfort bubble. We end up feeling so safe in our comfort bubble; we start believing that we don’t want to or need to leave it. These are just some things that hinder our growth and pursuit of better opportunities by keeping us away from challenging ourselves. Self-discipline is a learned skill, not an innate characteristic. That means with consistency and willpower you can build self-discipline like a muscle! It doesn’t have to be work-related; it can be just sending that one email or washing the dishes before heading to bed. Whatever it is, it boils down to the fact that maybe we want to be less distracted and instead be more engaged and productive.
